April Hearings and Webinars Offer Opportunities For Public Comments on Proposed State Water Quality Standards

The Washington State Department of Ecology is accepting comments on proposed amendments to Water Quality Standards for Surface Waters of the State of Washington - Chapter 173-201A WAC, also referred to as the Fish Consumption Rule. The public comment period on the proposed rule and draft Environmental Impact Statement will end at 5 p.m. on April 22, 2016.

The proposed rule text and supporting documents, new and revised in 2016, are available for review. Comments may be submitted at a public hearing or directly at the Ecology website, by email at swqs@ecy.wa.gov, by fax to 360-407-6426, or U.S. Mail to Becca Conklin, Washington State Department of Ecology, Water Quality Program, P.O.
